Provisional Nevis Canoe Club Kayak Programme 2019 and 2020
Trips are organised not led. The decision to go afloat, to continue or to return because of weather, boat or crew suitability is the responsibility of each individual kayaker.
The contact is not responsible for providing kit or transport but will help where possible.
If you wish to take part in a trip let the contact know by phone or email so that the contact can coordinate transport or make known last minute changes of plan such as a change of venue because of weather etc.
The "meet at" time is at the grid ref., at the venue, ready to go on the water. More info. at the bottom of the page.

Introductory sessions are in green but most Tues Eve sessions are ok for those with basic skills.

Programme coordinator Paul Biggin 01397 772459 or 07721 958517 neviscc@hotmail.co.uk A few days before each meet contact details and any changes to the venue will be emailed to all members.
More trips will be added as the season progresses. If you want to suggest a venue or can volunteer to act as the contact then please let Paul know.

Trips are graded either A,B or C as below:
A: Dependent on weather conditions, these trips will be suitable for beginners, with regular opportunities to get out of the kayak to rest and with little chance of experiencing challenging paddling conditions caused by tide.
B: These trips are more suited to paddlers with some experience, as additional levels of sea kayaking fitness and boat confidence may be required in order to get maximum enjoyment.
C: Although sometimes avoidable, these trips may require negotiation of complicated water, crossings or sections of coast where it is impossible to get out of the boat for longer periods of time. May involve remote camping where escape may be challenging in adverse weather.
